The company has two manufacturing unit Jamshedpur(Jharkhand).Having current installed capacity per month 70 tones with more than 75 qualified and highly motivated employees. The company is registered with NSIC,MSME Railway and is and zone and production Units ISO9001:2008 certified company. For the investments continue to be made in new facilities under a program Of improvements in manufacturing methods, material handling system, the Products themselves and customer service. The company invests heavily in the latest manufacturing technology. Facility including use of laser, plasma, punches and presses. This has Enabled the expansion of trailer assembly line to meet an ever increasing Demand for the company products.

Testing of Physical and Chemical properties of material as per IS Standards mentioned in the drawing for review of correlated Mill Test Certificates.

Ultrasonic test on plates above 40mm as per ASTM A435.

Welding procedure & Qualification Test as per ASME Section IX/AWS D1.1

Fillet Welds:-

  • Check for size and visual examination.
  • Micro etch examination done on joints for built up beams, columns and crane girder etc.
  • 25% weld lengths of tension member of crane girder are subjected to dye Penetration Test.
  • On all other fillet welds, DPT on 5%of weld length with minimum 300mm at each location
    is carried out.

 

 Butt welds:-

  • DPT on all butt welds after back gouging.
  • Mechanical testing of product, test coupons with minimum one joint per built up beam,
    column and crane girder.
  • 100% radiography test on butt welds of tension flange (bottom flange) of crane girder. All
    other butt welds are subjected to Radiography test on 10% weld length of each welder.
    Wherever RT is not feasible, UT is carried out.
  • Full penetration welds (other than butt welds) are subjected to Ultrasonic Testing in
    following quantum:
  • 100% UT on web to flange joint of crane girder.
  • 10% UT on other full penetration joints.

 

 Coal Bunker/Bins

  • 10% DPT after back gouging
  • 5% spot radiography test on butt welds where access not available. UT are carried out with prior approval of Engineer in-charge.

 Every 1st and further every 10th set of identical structure are checked for control assembly in shop before erection.

All structure components / members are checked for dimensional tolerances during fabrication and erection as per IS-7215 and IS-12843 respectively.

Check for Surface Preparation and Paint thickness.

In case of failure of any welds in SPOT RT/UT. The percentages for retesting are  doubled at that particular location. Acceptance criteria of NDT on welds are as per AWS D1.1.

Low hydrogen electrode (AWS E-7018) for welding of High/Medium tensile steel, for M.S (IS 2062 Gr. A/GR. B, IS 8500) sections thickness above 20mm are used. Preheating and Post weld heat treatment requirements are complied as specified in the technical specs. / approved WPS.
